About Steven Chirieleison
I completed my PhD in the lab of Derek Abbott, studying how the inhibitor of apoptosis proteins coordinate control of cell death and innate immune signaling in the context of early onset pediatric IBD. After completing my MD at CWRU, I pursued anatomic pathology residency and fellowship training at Stanford with fellowships in gastrointestinal pahtology and cytopathology. During that time, I worked in the lab developing organoid models to study skin and gastrointestinal pathology, jointly advised by Calvin Kuo and Mark Davis. I am now in the Precision Medicine Pathology group at Abbvie, leveraging my clinical and research skills to bring new medicines to clinic.
