My work at Lumen encompassed many Analytics Engineering tasks, which has included building applications, datasets, data pipelines, automation, reports, workflows, and anything between. My job has been to make other people\'s jobs easier, and I have taken part in several large-scale projects that accomplished that goal. Data Governance | Data Warehouse This project involved looking at the way we ingest data for end results such as reporting, analytics, forecasts, decision-making, and machine-learning. Targeting simplicity while retaining enough complexity for the various use-cases, we built a governed data structure that adheres to Kimball Dimensional Modeling principles and modern data best practices. The end result was a Data Lake and Data Warehouse as a performance-tuned single source of truth that could be shared by data analysts and data scientists across the company. Business Applications I built internal business applications to streamline several workflows and eliminate human error. This included simplifying many existing intakes, and creating new process workflows to measure additional metrics such as Monthly Sales Commitment Attainment.
