ABOUT STEVEN PENNYCUFF

I currently work for Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC. Asplundh specializes in vegetation management for various utilities and municipalities throughout the United States and several other countries. I started with Asplundh in July of 2002, and have worked in various positions that have helped to shape my management and leadership skills in both operations and safety. I have a bachelor’s degree with honors in Occupational Safety and Health with a concentration in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University. I am also have a bachelor’s degree with honors in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management. Most of my career has been spent training and teaching others in the various aspects of the Utility Line Clearance Industry. My passion for learning and sharing information has guided me in my career. I enjoy setting goals for myself and doing whatever is necessary to achieve those goals. As a Safety First Business Professional, it is a personal mission to make sure that each and every employee gets home safe each and every day to their families and loved ones, while ensuring sustainability and profitability of the organization. My goal is to help establish a positive safety culture by promoting a safer work environment for all employees. This can be accomplished by implementing an effective Safety Management Process that encourages employees to be actively involved in their safety and health program. Employees must be empowered to speak up if something is not right within the organization and suggest changes to improve safety and health programs. Employees who feel safe in the work place will be much more efficient and productive.
