I am a consultant orthopaedic & trauma surgeon at Barts Health NHS Trust, working at the Royal London Hospital and Newham University Hospital, where I am the clinical lead for the trauma & orthopaedic department.I am currently leading the development of a new dedicated Barts Health Orthopaedic Centre with the aim of delivering a world leading specialist orthopaedic in East London.In private practice I currently work at the London Independent Hospital.I provide specialist care in primary and revision hip and knee replacement, arthroscopic knee surgery and ligament reconstruction, musculoskeletal tumour surgery and general orthopaedic trauma.Having been a competitive rugby player at elite level, I understand the needs of injury sports men and women and their desire to achieve the best outcome to continue pursuing their sporting activitiesI also have a strong background in basic science and clinical research in the fields of cartilage MRI, biomechanics, crash safety, injury prevention and orthopaedic oncology.I speak German fluently and am happy to provide services in German when necessary
