After more than 15 years as a successful violinist, I switched careers and have now spent my entire legal career at Hanson Bridgett. I serve as General and Special Counsel to a variety of special districts in California, as well as maintain an active ethics practice. I am General Counsel to the Menlo Park Fire Protection District, Deputy General Counsel to the San Francisco Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority (San Francisco Bay Ferry) and also work in the General Counsel office for the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District, the San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans) and the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board (Caltrain). I serve as special counsel for a wide range of agencies, including Southern California Regional Rail Authority (Metrolink), East Bay Municipal Utility District, the Cities of San Jose, Sacramento, San Bernardino, Yorba Linda, Brentwood, and others. I frequently conduct investigations and provide trainings in two areas of particular expertise, government ethics and procurement.I am active in the American Public Transportation Association\'s Legal Affairs Committee and regularly plan and present at Committee\'s annual seminar.Because of my public agency expertise, I regularly advise private entities that do business with the government. My clients range from ferryboat builders to a Fortune 500 utility, from startup software developers to international consultant firms.
