Additionally, created and leads a Risk Analytics team that develops proactive data driven analytics-based solutions to deliver user efficiencies, control-based monitoring and independent oversight across 1LOD and Risk Pillars.ORGANIZATIONALRe-organized Customer Facing Oversight Team of ~11, re-aligning team to SYF’s overall north star goals, while positioning team to provide extensive coverage and oversight based upon risk. Transformed organization from a reactive issue’s resolution team with 90% of time spent on these activities to a proactive oversight team shifting to 80% of time spent on these activities. This led to an issue identification of 4X, de-risking SYF and future remediations, while creating value add solutions needed to deliver on key goals. GOVERNANCE Developed first Process Level – Operational Risk Assessment for 170+ processes that detailed the inherent and residual risk rating drivers with key themes and required process-based actions, that was communicated quarterly to ELT and regulators. Key in moving Operational Risk from an NI to a Satisfactory rating with the regulators through Heightened Standards adherence.ANALYTICS AND OVERSIGHT Organized and led a best in class solutions-oriented team that drives over 70 impactful projects annually that identify and code to blind spots in controls; validate controls through full-file reviews, provide oversight and assess high risk regulatory issues, builds visualization, automation and assessments, while identifying patterns and communicating insights to drive actions.
