There is an important step change underway as banks move to operationalise their role in transitioning the economy towards a low carbon future. The reduction of financed and facilitated emissions is a huge undertaking requiring a deep understanding of the ecosystem of a bank, the customer journey, key dependencies and opportunity/risk/disclosure use cases. This must all be delivered alongside expanding disclosure requirements and in the context of an increased focus on greenwashing and the need for credibility and integrity in sustainable finance.
