ABOUT STEVEN L. FORD
Steven is a licensed Attorney with the Alabama State Bar, who leverages his leadership experience as an engineer, departmental, and plant manager in the natural gas and steam power generation industry to create business value. Steven’s leadership spans over 25 years working in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama; with his specialized education in law, engineering, and business, he is passionate about serving the customers in his community. He believes in using emerging technology to lower operating costs and improve communication, and he leads the creation of new value models through deeper technology integration. Currently, he is the chair of the Southern Company Generation Technology Leadership Team (TLT) which seeks to evaluate and integrate powerful technologies across the generating fleet. Steven works to help develop others across a broad range of skills and accelerate their career impact. Steven is a recognized presenter, sharing at the Connected Plant Conference and Southern Company Technical Conference discussing new technology, the human side of digital adoption, and improvements in facility management.
