Scaled up a new high melt strength long-chain branched polypropylene product & process from the lab to commercialization. Expert in applying multifactorial designed experimentation to reactive extrusion processes for polypropylene and polyethylene specialty polymers. Responsible for evaluating competitive polyolefin products and processes, planning and executing scale up of new experimental chemistries while focused on quality control and personnel health and safety. Expert in applying polymer characterization to determine polymer structure-property relationships. Developed first generation high melt strength Braskem polypropylene resins for foam and solid sheet markets. Conducted commercial trials of new high melt strength polyolefin polymers with customers producing foam packaging and construction materials.
