Steve, formerly a partner in an international AmLaw 100 firm, is an experienced advocate and counselor for clients involved in, contemplating, or seeking to avoid litigation. His practice focuses on complex business disputes, including shareholder/partnership disputes, distributor terminations, non-competes, and unfair trade practice claims. He regularly represents health care providers, provider organizations and health plans in business disputes and in defense of consumer claims. Steve also has deep experience in defense of professionals and fiduciaries, including legal malpractice, disciplinary proceedings, and ERiSA claims and class actions. Steve has argued, tried, arbitrated, and appealed numerous cases in state and federal courts inside and outside of Massachusetts. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts as well as in the Supreme Court and several federal Circuits. He is AV rated and regularly appears as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer for business litigation. Steve also regularly serves as an arbitrator. He is on the Commercial Panel and National Healthcare Roster for the American Arbitration Association. He is also available to assist in resolving disputes as a mediator or to provide case assessments.Steve is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University (B.A.), The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (M.A), and The University of Michigan Law School, where he served as an Editor on the Michigan Law Review.
