ABOUT STEVEN GUAN

With over 16 years of experience in testing domain, I am a data testing specialist who is passionate about data and its power to tell the true story and support decision making. I have extensive knowledge and skills in data warehouse (ETL) testing, using a variety of ETL tools, backend databases, and cloud platforms. Currently, I work as a Senior Data Test Analyst at Bank of Queensland, where I am responsible for reviewing source to target mapping, building complex queries, executing and reporting tests, and providing SQL scripts for automation. I am also involved in the migration of data from legacy system to cloud-based Azure, ensuring the quality and accuracy of the data. Previously, I worked as an Automation Data Test Analyst at Bank of New Zealand, where I performed similar tasks for the similar project. Before that, I worked as a BI Analyst/Reporting at Ministry of Health New Zealand, where I extracted, analyzed, and summarized data from various databases for the COVID-19 Vaccination and Immunization Programme. I am always eager to learn new technologies and tools, and to apply them to solve data-related challenges. I also have strong soft skills, such as test planning, estimation, design, management, defect procedures, and traceability. I enjoy working with data and collaborating with other data professionals to deliver high-quality data solutions.
