Mr. Grubbs serves as the Firm’s Managing Director. He is amember of the Sheehy, Ware, Pappas & Grubbs P.C. insurance litigation,transportation litigation, hospitality law, as well as labor andemployment law sections. He is Board Certified by theTexas Board of Legal Specialization – Labor and Employment Law(2005). He has been a litigator for over twenty five years and hasconsiderable first-chair trial experience in the State and FederalCourts and before the Texas Courts of Appeals and the TexasSupreme Court. He cut his teeth defending doctors and nursesfrom allegations of medical malpractice, including trials involvingobstetric and orthopedic negligence while only in his second year ofpractice.His transportation law practice has grown substantiallyover the years. He can boast of two recent defense verdictsin trucking cases after full blown jury trials in Texas courts, and handling cases in nearly every venue in Texas. In addition, Mr. Grubbs has expanded his practice to a variety ofdisciplines including construction fatalities, labor and employmentlaw, premises liability, construction defects, and commercialmatters. Few lawyers in the state, or perhaps the country, have theexperience with OSHA litigation as Mr. Grubbs. He has personallymanaged over 300 OSHA investigations for nearly every industryand occupation, for the employer. Experience matters. To date, Mr. Grubbs has tried overover 40 cases to verdicts with impressive results.Mr. Grubbs has also handled hundreds of first party badfaith claims for underwriters and their adjusters since 2005,including DTPA and breach of contract claims. He is intimatelyfamiliar with the Lloyd’s and surplus markets and regularly handlesfirst party claims for them and many of the larger admitted legacycarriers.In his free time, Mr. Grubbs is a husband, father of four, and an FAA licensed private pilot.
