Steven H. Gartner has demonstrated an unparalleled dedication to the real estate industry, an insatiable passion to civic boosterism of his hometown Philadelphia, and a boundless ability as a philanthropic, community and social connector. His entire professional career has been exclusively involved in commercial real estate, culminating with him joining CBRE, Inc. in 2014 as Executive Vice President. As part of the CBRE\'s global team of advisory and transaction professionals, he has a significant role for providing services to regional and national retailers and owner/landlords across geographies and across the multiple service lines that CBRE provides. Steve is a leader in the retail real estate industry, and has received national recognition during his prior 10 years as President and Principal of Metro Commercial Real Estate in Philadelphia, and before that, as COO at MSC Retail.He is a past PA/NJ/DE state chair for The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). His knowledge of the retail industry has enabled him to serve as an expert contributor to The Wall Street Journal, Fox TV’s “Good Day Philadelphia”, and as a lecturer at The Wharton School of the Univ. of PA, Columbia Univ, and his alma mater, George Washington Univ. Steve\'s extensive network of professional and personal contacts is legendary, and is also reflected in his high level of involvement in community service and fundraising. He is the current Co-Chair of the Real Estate Division of State of Israel Bonds; a Trustee of the Jewish Federation of Greater Phila. and a founding member of its Jewish Federation Real Estate Group (JFRE). Steve and his family have also been one of the early supporters of family-oriented directed giving at the Univ. of PA Abramson Cancer Center. He resides in Penn Valley, PA.
