Steve is Stantec\'s former Chief Practice and Project Officer, now serving in the role of Executive Vice President Emeritus.An expert on the topics of project management and public private partnerships, Steve has presented to organizations and conferences around the globe and has lectured at numerous universities, including the University of Alberta, the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and Penn State University. In 2020, Steve was the recipient of the ACEC-British Columbia - Meritorious Achievement Award, and in 2025 Steve was awarded the Beaubien Award, an ACEC-Canada award presented to individuals for lifetime contributions to the advancement of the profession and the consulting engineering industry.Steve currently serves as a director for Coast Mental Health and the National Research Council (NRC) advisory board. His board service over the years includes Providence Health Care (St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver), the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – Canada (ACEC-Canada) and ACEC – British Columbia.He is a Professional Engineer registered with Engineers and Geologists British Columbia (EGBC) and the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
