As Sierra Systems Group Inc. enters a new phase of evolution as part of the NTT DATA family, I take on the role of National Delivery Management Lead. My role is to protect the company, its customers, reputation, assets, and the interests of stakeholders by identifying and by managing risk that would impact the achievement of Sierra Systems’ client commitments and ultimately affect Sierra Systems\' business objectives.KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY• Responsible for the overall risk review and assessment from the proposal stage through client delivery.• Ensure that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the risks involved and the level of risk associated with the project.• Conduct audits and assessments on troubled projects for both Sierra Systems management and client management.• Work with project teams to resolve issues and get project under control.• Play an active role in assessment and implementation of employee programs related to project deliverables.• Manage the risk reporting and status site.• Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies for contracts, approvals and methodologies.• Manage the development and implementation of delivery methodologies to ensure a standard approach that drives quality and mitigates risk.• Develop and maintain a company wide Program Management Office including dashboards and \"drill down\" approaches for General Managers and Delivery Leads.• Conduct monthly call with delivery leads to ensure a coordinated delivery approach across the company and to discuss new initiatives.• Develop delivery methodologies and strategic direction.• Design and deliver online and \"just in time\" training on methodologies.• Provide coaching and mentoring on risk management and project management including programs specific to project managers and architects.

Making ‘it’ work better is almost an obsession with Steve. From a young age he always tried to find the most efficient and expedient way of doing things that adds the most value. Whether it is day to day common tasks, projects, programs, or companies, there is always room for improvement and evolution saving time, effort, and frustration. Over the last 40+ years Steve has learned that it’s not so much the tool you use, as how you are set-up to use it. In other words, a new computer system is not necessarily going to solve your problems if you don’t have the operational and efficient processes in place to support your business.Steve is a Senior Business and Delivery Risk Management executive with extensive Program and Project Management experience. He has held several progressively more responsible operational and executive management roles within Sierra Systems, now NTT DATA, since 1993, and has been on the Canadian executive team since 2012. Steve has also created and managed efficient and effective frameworks, processes, and governance structures both internally and for clients. Working remotely for the last 10 years Steve is very comfortable with the \"new\" virtualized or hybrid business and project environments. He has been developing solutions, and successfully managing large, complex business and technology initiatives for close to 40 years.Steve spent almost a decade specializing in Recovery Project Management and has developed a seven-step approach for executing a successful project recovery. In more recent times he has focused on Project Health Checks – preventing troubles from occurring.Steve has developed, set-up, and run many Risk Management and Delivery organizations, PMO’s, and ePMO’s over the years, with a focus on cradle to grave support. These organizations have been built to strengthen a delivery methodologies, tools, and processes from the time an opportunity is identified to the time the project is successfully closed. Although problem resolution and recovery are services offered, the focus is on preventing the problems in the first place.As a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Steve is a strong advocate of continuous improvement. He provides rigour, structure, and process that can be measured and managed as the building blocks to a project success. He has taught a practical approach to Project Management both to clients and internally at NTT DATA, and mentors both within NTT DATA and with the PMI.
