Steve has extensive experience in all aspects of roadway and highway design projects. Expertise includes the development of conceptual, preliminary and final roadway improvement plans including geometric roadway layout, traffic signal plans, maintenance and protection of traffic plans, roadway drainage network design, roadway rehabilitation plans, intersection design, interchange design and roadway lighting design. Has served as Project Manager on many major roadway improvement projects exceeding five million dollars in construction cost. Has managed all aspects of these projects from staff utilization and sub-consultant coordination, to directing the efforts required to obtain all project approvals from governing agencies. Is fully versed in the requirements of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and NJDOT procedures, including the Procedures Manual, Highway Access Code, and has had dealings with many of the individuals at NJDOT that review and approve roadway projects. Mr. Malvey has successfully completed many roadway improvement and intersection improvements projects for Townships and Counties throughout New Jersey from inception to bid to construction and close out.
