About Steve Maldonado

Mr. Maldonado has a considerable managerial and technology leadership background which includes extensive experience in the transportation, rental, education and broadcast media industry. Mr. Maldonado began his career as an operations manager, supervising large customer service call centers for Ryder System. While at Ryder, Mr. Maldonado changed career paths to Information Technology where he served as the Manager, of Strategic Business Systems for over five years. Mr. Maldonado served as Director of International Business Systems & Development at Discovery Communications for over seven years where he was responsible for enterprise systems development and deployment for the Discovery Channel’s worldwide operations. Mr. Maldonado served as the Director of Information Technology at CyberGuard Corporation, a global internet security device manufacturer and as the Vice President and CIO at Neff Rental, Inc, the nation’s 6th largest renter of heavy equipment for the construction industry. Mr. Maldonado served as the ERP Program Management Officer at Miami-Dade Public Schools to lead an $87.5M Business Transformation and SAP implementation project. Mr. Maldonado is the managing partner at Creative Business Systems Solutions, Inc, an Information Technology Management Consulting practice. He has been on assignment at several prominent business including Polk State College, Ryder System, Mastec, and World Fuel Services. Most recently, Mr. Maldonado served as the Director of Service Management & Compliance for Univision Communications in Miami, Florida. In this role, Mr. Maldonado is responsible for developing and leading the major IT compliance areas including the IT Project Management Office (PMO), Governance, Risk and Compliance Office (GRC), IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, Software Governance, and Service Management (including leadership of the Change Management Advisory Board).Mr. Maldonado is a graduate of DeVry University in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, a Certified Computer Information System Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, and a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from DRI International.
