About Steve Kamerman

Steve Kamerman is an information technology innovator, developer, entrepreneur and a constant thinker. Starting his first IT business at the age of 16, he has decades of experience in entrepreneurship and consulting with businesses of all sizes. Steve got his start in the mid 1990s designing and building heterogeneous computing systems in GNU/Linux, UNIX and Windows. A few years later he moved into web application development with an emphasis on performance.Steve is best known as the author of the popular mobile device detection software, Tera-WURFL, and as the co-founder and COO of ScientiaMobile, Inc. He is a recognized expert in multiple IT fields and speaks on topics ranging from entrepreneurship to web optimization. At ScientiaMobile, Steve designed, and in some cases implemented, several web-scale systems that serve billions of requests per month.In addition to his typical activities, Steve also has a fascination in physics, cosmology, photography and electronics.
