I designed AWS Backup from its inception through its second year in operation. I worked closely with other AWS storage service teams to help define their integration, and help them understand the users we were targeting. I built and lead a team of 30+ developers, and together we implemented the initial functionality, and added 4 major features each year. As the technical lead of the AWS Backup development team and a member of its leadership team, I identified, prioritized, and contributed to the design of every feature and function of AWS Backup. As an AWS technical leader I provided design assistance to other storage teams, helping them ensure that the functionality they build will address the needs of their target market, and their implementation will be secure, scaleable, and maintainable.
