ABOUT STEVE BODELL
Since May 2022, Steve has moved into the Principal SAP Lead role, calling upon all of his years of good (and bad!) experiences of leading, to lead the wider SAP team through their exciting next phase of S/4 upgrades, optimisation, and new functionality realisation. Steve aims to bring his blend of practicality, calm, kindness and expertise to support his colleagues and the wider orgnisation in being the successful, best version of themselves in delivering great things in the SAP space at Arm.Before moving into his leadership role, Steve had 20 years+ technical and consulting experience in SAP Security, Authorisations and GRC Access Controls across Utilities (Water, Oil & Energy), Retail, Medical Devices and Semiconductor industries.Whilst at Anglian Water Steve initially up-skilled from standard User Administration activities through the in-sourcing, restructuring & leading of a team for a CUA based SAP User / Role / GRC controlled SAP Landscape. Then, at Accenture, Steve worked firstly with a major UK health & beauty retailer on their nationwide 2 wave ERP implementation, covering the implementation of role based security for 13 modules as well as leading the deployment of GRC integrated with IDM, both used to support the entire SAP Landscape. Steve then moved on to working with a global oil & energy company firstly on their pilot for a GRC based automated user access management solution, followed by GRC rollouts to multiple SAP ECC & BW systems.Next, Steve joined Smith & Nephew working as part of an expanding technical team with split responsibilities between supporting BAU SAP security related tasks and lager project based work, including a large scale European wide re-implementation of SAP.Initially beginning work at ARM in a Lead SAP Security and Authorisations role Steve\'s responsibilities included managing and delivering SAP User and Role technical support alongside developing a role redesign, implementing corrective actions and identifying and delivering service process improvements.Prior to his current role, in April 2018 Steve converted into a newly created, permanent, SAP Security Architect role responsible for supporting the strategic, delivery and operational IT streams by providing SAP security best practice design, delivery guidance, strategic input, tooling and technology decision making, to enable the business to deliver on their strategic business objectives and company vision.
