About Steve Wester

My objective is to lead and develop teams, take action, solve tough problems, and collaborate with all levels to help advance the bottom line and corporate objectives. For over the last 20 years, I have served in the area of finance/accounting in the following industries; hospitality, manufacturing, and retail. I have learned and absolutely believe success starts and ends with people. While I have built or inherited high performing teams of dedicated and capable team members, it has been the continual drive for process improvements that has helped them to be more successful than even they thought possible. What motivates me most is project success and leading my team to achieve extraordinary results. My experience over the past several years has instilled me with a values based leadership style committed to thoughtful action, producing value, integrity, and building a high performing team. I do this by making challenges opportunities and by leading change through sound interpersonal, communication skills, working cross functionally to build relationships and consensus that generates success, and by listening and partnering with everyone. I’ve found these skill-sets to be useful in both leading a team or as an individual contributor, in either case, it’s about working with people and that’s what I enjoy the most.
