Accepted the position of Program Manager for Prairie Public Broadcasting early 2001. Responsibilties include: daily, weekly and monthly program planning for a public television system that serves North Dakota, West-Central and Northwest Minnesota, an eastern bit of Montana, Winnipeg and Brandon, Manitoba. Producer and planner for regular TV pledge campaigns and assigned video projects. • Served as Executive Producer and team leader for a 5-year flood mitigation and river education project called RiverWatchonline. The non-profit program is a partnership between Prairie Public Broadcasting, the International Flood Mitigation Initiative and the viewing and listening public. The project is funded by the Otto Bremer Foundation.• With more than 20 years broadcast news and public affairs experience, Wennblom has served as a producer and general assignment reporter in radio and television stations in Illinois, Oregon and North Dakota. He served as part and full-time News assignment editor for a CBS affiliate in Fargo, ND.• Wennblom received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from the University of North Dakota. During his career, he has received numerous journalism awards from the Associated Press and the Northwest Broadcast News Association for investigative, spot news and agricultural stories.
