WORK HISTORY
Senior Litigation Paralegal @Tharpe & Howell, Llp
Los Angeles, CA, US
At this point in my professional life, I would like to make an impact on young folks’ lives, but am not particularly keen on on-site teaching. What with the cost of gas and the traffic, and with the nationwide shift to remote teaching, I believe that my experience in teaching and in my profession would help students in their travels on the education highway which can be achieved these days in a remote learning context.

ABOUT STEVE WATKINS
Since completing law school, I have been actively involved in law, both as a long-time practicing paralegal (WITH A J.D.), and as a consultant. In practice, I have extensive experience in regulatory compliance (AML, licensure issues, etc.) and providing guidance and training in company procedures. Ethics training, management training, and support for organizational restructuring are key parts of my tool box. My research has also resulted in substantial legal writings. Beyond that, I have published \"The \'Plenty\' Book - the Answer to the Question: What Can I do to Make This a Better World?\" I have also written nearly 200 articles on Medium.com, based on my socio-political commentary, my work as a legal analyst, and my involvement in the environmental movement. I have published 45 articles on my WordPress blog (swatkinslaw.wordpress.com), based on the same topics. I am currently eager to work with consultancies in the fields of energy, water, transportation, and ecological research. I want to do my part to fight the Sixth Mass Extinction.
