ABOUT STEVE VEJCIK

I have 20+ years of professional experience in consulting through statistical analysis and use of full stack of modern ML in commercial and research settings. My most recent activity has been around fraud in the financial services but I have broader familiarity with many commercial use cases across financial services along with experience in the consumer credit sector, real estate advisory firms, and b2b reporting services. I currently work on both strategic analytic and ongoing consultative efforts with financial services customers. In this capacity, I have an active hands on role and a leadership role with regards to developing and deploying new techniques and developing data assets. Prior to my current role, I worked for 11 years developing models and frameworks for advanced analytic purposes including within cloud-hosted environments using the Hadoop architecture. The efforts have helped clients to improve value in their efforts by providing novel solutions, metrics, high levels of data quality, optimizing segmentation and improved experience with their data. I also have significant experience applying analytics to geospatial data, developing monte carlo-based simulations and am familiar with all elements of data handling and processing relevant to analytic infrastructures.I am always interested in hearing about and engaging in conversations around what new and interesting directions others are pursuing, particularly those that are creative and thought-provoking.
