Lancaster, GB

I am a freshwater ecologist working on lake ecosystems. Much of my research relates to the impacts of environmental pressures such as climate change and nutrient enrichment on plankton communities. I lead the Lake Ecosystems Group at the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. I am also interested in the science of phenology, and compare patterns of changing seasonality for plant and animal species across marine, freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems.I am a subject editor for Global Change Biology, and an editorial board member for Journal of Plankton Research.
