Multiple EMMY award winning writer/producer with almost 20 years experience creating and producing segments for the nationally syndicated entertainment news TV show EXTRA. Excellent relationships with A-list talent, network and studio executives as well as top entertainment industry publicists and PR firms. Politics is also Steve’s specialty. Working with press secretaries and chiefs of staff, Steve has arranged and produced exclusive segments with top political figures including President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Elizabeth Warren and many others. As a writer/producer and show-runner of network sitcoms, Steve has been the recipient of a People’s Choice Award and an NAACP Image Award. He’s also written for the screen, including a collaboration with famed director Blake Edwards for “Son of the Pink Panther” with Roberto Benigni. In addition, Steve is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. Along with actor-comedian Howie Mandel, Steve produced and directed “Commited,” a comedy doc that follows the ups and downs of a struggling writer and stand-up comic. “Committed” is available in I-Tunes.
