ABOUT STEVE SCHULSTROM
I am an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional with my Associate Safety Professional (ASP) Certification. I have worked in the pet and human food industries in the areas of environmental compliance, occupational health & safety, workers compensation, site security and engineering project management. I have worked for several Fortune 500 companies and worked in union and non-union facilities in manufacturing site, regional and corporate positions; two of my roles include multi-site responsibilities. I have managed other EHS professionals including an EHS Supervisor, an Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) and hourly personnel.I am a detail minded, organized, hard working and dedicated employee with strong computer and communication skills. I have led the implementation or renewal of many safety and environmental programs including lockout tagout (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Space entry and Air Emission, Stormwater and Wastewater management and other regulatory compliance areas. I have led the safety onboarding of well over 300 hourly and salaried personnel taking advantage of the first opportunity to set safety expectations and drive culture.I have experience working with several Federal, State and local regulatory agencies.
