ABOUT STEVE SCARBOROUGH

As Director of Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA) IT Audit and Administration, I work closely with new acquisition and existing colleagues in the ever-changing world of audit preparation and support. Our goal is to raise awareness of corporate responsibility while looking ahead to create standardized structure. I am very proud with my efforts prior to this role where I had the opportunity to lead and mentor our Shared Services team. Before working with MMA I was fortunate enough to work with a leading insurance industry support provider, Vertafore. The folks at Vertafore provide software and services second to none in the industry. Before Vertafore I enjoyed opportunities with Willis (then HRH) in 2007 as a Sr Project Manager and was responsible for key in-house and COTS efforts. Within 6 months of joining HRH, I was promoted to Director, reporting to the CTO and was responsible for all corporate applications. In addition, I continued in the Project Manager role for special projects. Prior to joining HRH, I worked with government agencies. Before that I was with Thomson Reuters (then Thomson Financial) as the Technology Director for the official SEC receipt, storage and archival department. As Technology Director the duties included ensuring real-time receipt, storage and publication of SEC documents to the myriad of Thomson products as well as managing a team of highly skilled developers on mainframe and server-based platforms. My career has been both challenging and fulfilling with areas of expertise that include audit (internal & external) compliance preparation & participation, project management; application development, design and performance improvement; change management; project planning, budgeting and management; and internal and external communications.
