About Steve Sanghi
I’m the President, CEO, and Executive Chair of Microchip Technology Inc, bringing over 40 years of leadership in the semiconductor industry. Since joining Microchip in 1990, I’ve transformed the company from a minor player into a global leader, driving consistent profitability and innovation.My strategic vision continues to steer Microchip’s growth, advancing the next wave of semiconductor technology in dynamic markets. My career includes senior roles at Intel and Waferscale Integration. I hold an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a BS from Punjab University in India.I serve on the boards of Intel, Impinj, Advantest, and the NAU Foundation, and I authored Driving Excellence, Up and to the Right, and Ask Steve. I’m honored to have received the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award, the semiconductor industry’s highest recognition, and to have the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering named at Northern Arizona University. I’m also dedicated to supporting education and community initiatives.
