First Time Design/Analytical Experience:• Key developer of the Westinghouse Ruggedized Rotor Nuclear (BB80FI and BB81FI rotors) and Fossil Product Line. • New Turbine design included Westinghouse Building Blocks 473 and 471.• Redesigned the BB73 Low Pressure Turbine Disc to mitigate Stress Corrosion Cracking Concerns.• Implemented first leading edge blade weld repair on a GE 20 inch last stage blade in the 1980’s.• Sammis 7 Ruggedized Retrofit Rotor design lead for Westinghouse. Responsible for all Ohio Edison consultant contacts and resolution of issues.• Selected by FP & L to provide a design review for their new Point Beach HP and Generator Nuclear Retrofit Projects.• Selected by Entergy to provide a design review expertise for the worlds largest nuclear extended power upgrade (EPU) program.• Completed an engineering assessment and design specifications to upgrade Nevada Energy’s Reid Gardner units 1 and 2 water induction protection systems in compliance with ASME standards.• Selected by NEIL to provide complete steam turbine generator major risk assessments.• Selected by NEIL to perform RCA analysis of the Columbia and Susquehanna Station blade cracking issue• Selected by NEIL to performing a torsional RCA analysis for St. Lucie and Farley Stations retrofits with Siemens advanced disc design LP’s.• Developed generator fan inspection and best practices guide for EPRI.• Co-authored turbine pedestal design considerations for larger LP turbine retrofits for EPRI
