As Public Works Superintendent I oversee the department’s administrative and professional work by planning, organizing & providing direction. I also develop and oversee the department\'s budget as well as recruitment, hiring,training and leading all Public Works personnel. In addition to this I represent the department to other city officials. I also develop departmental policies and protocols & monitor overall city infrastructureI am responsible for all aspects of the department’s operation which includes the maintenance of equipment, including fleet maintenance of all public works assets, water utility, surface infrastructure, sanitary sewer, citywide facilities and parks, extensive project management, annual work plan, long term replacement/construction project schedules budget oversight, community engagement, regularly attend community meetings, and hold public presentations.

I am a dedicated public servant with over 25 years of experience in the field of operations & maintenance as superintendent, crew leader and front line staff member. After 20 years in county level Parks and Recreation service delivery I made the change to municipal public works which includes all aspects of city operations, in particular water distribution systems & wastewater collection systems, storm water management, fleet management, street maintenance, along with parks and recreation. I believe opportunities for everyone to recreate in the community are vital to our wellbeing.
