Nebraska Housing Resource (NHR) is a non-profit corporation formed in June 1998 by leadership of the Homebuilders Association of Lincoln. NHR works with builders to provide affordable housing opportunities for first-time buyers by developing or procuring lots, arranging attractive financing packages, and encouraging builders to enter or expand into this market. NHR, in partnership with the Nebr. Investment Finance Authority, the Lincoln Urban Development Dept, and the Nebr. Dept. of Economic Development has developed 189 lots on land previously owned by public entities. The 2019 taxable property value for homes built on these NHR lots exceeds $37 million. NHR\'s latest development with only private funds is in the Hub Hall Heights neighborhood in NW Lincoln with 81 lots.
