About Steve Palmgren

Steve is based in Austin, Texas and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University in Flint, Michigan. He leads the strategy, support, and overall direction of Vertech’s Food and Beverage Industry practice, drawing on more than 25 years of experience in industrial automation. Steve began his career as a controls engineer, programming PLCs, HMIs, and SQL servers while spending countless hours on manufacturing floors. Over time, he expanded his impact by leading project teams, regional offices, and sales organizations, always grounded in a deep understanding of engineering and technology.At his core, Steve is passionate about solving problems and helping people, both in his professional work and in the community. Outside of Vertech, he enjoys spending time with his family, supporting his kids, and volunteering at their schools.
