I am an award-winning, dedicated and results-driven senior manager with a highly successful background in profitable business growth through the development of relationships and procurement strategies with key suppliers. In over 35 years of Plant and Transport related experience, more than 25 of those years in management, my responsibilities have included:• managing business turn-over volumes up to £6 million per annum• supply chain management• maximizing revenues by controlling cost and increasing the utilization of company assets and services• depot establishment, multi depot management, maintenance workshop supervision• fleet management of 400+ car, light commercial and HGV fleets and logistical support• key account handling • IT system evaluation • product evaluation and introduction, with the primary focus on procuring excellent products and services while ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimum brand impact• health, safety and environmental review and implementationI possess excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial internal and external relationships.
