Here at BorgWarner we\'re fortunate to have such breadth in Mobility, from the grid to the wheels. Our role in Corporate Advanced Engineering is to ensure & enable technical leadership. Current focus is Advanced Electrified Mobility Research & Development including-Materials Research (from die attach to enclosure & fluids)-New and novel architectures (from power semiconductor to vehicle system architectures to beyond the DC Fast Charger)-Monitoring technology trends in core areas of Power Electronics, Electronics & Controllers -Advanced lower TRL technologies that might be influential on a longer time scale (software, signal & power circuit mechanization) Some other focus areas of research include-High Power Electronics Thermal Management Research - High Voltage Traction motor & inverter heat management, simulations, design & development -xEV Battery Thermal Management (Heating and Cooling of current Li-Ion Chemistries, as well as upcoming Energy Storage methods)-Alternative Fuels (High BMEP Natural Gas Combustion)-Demonstration Vehicles (Benchmark, Build, test (Emissions, climatic, track & dyno)
