ABOUT STEVE MOORE

EP Technical professional with 36 years experience at Shell, Maersk Oil, Mubadala Petroleum, Energean and now Cairn India. I have a Process Engineering background holding a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering with extensive Operational exposure in the UK, Brunei and Oman during the first half of career. During the last 23 years I have held increasingly significant roles in Technical management, New Business Development as well as Asset and Company Management. Role and scope has extended from Company and Country level, through Regional and Global levels. This latter part of my career has seen me work extensively in the FSU (Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Georgia), then for 6 years in the Middle East (UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, Egypt, Libya) with some brief experience of SE Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia). For 9 years I managed all Technical work at Energean, focused on developing a leading position in the East Mediterranean Sea basins. This included the redevelopment of the Prinos field in Greece and the development of the Karish field in Israel. I steered Energean from to boepd production adding over a Bln BBLs of Reserves and Resources. In early 2023 I took up the role of COO for Cairn - Vedanta, in India and in August 2023 was elevated to the position of CEO. A passionate problem solver I enjoy applying my broad based experience equally to developing immaginative - although often simple - solutions to complex technical problems as well as the business management of convoluted multi-partner operated and non-operated ventures.
