   Team Be Better

   In June of 2021, we founded Team Be Better, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping teens, adolescents and their families bridge the gaps in our mental health system and get the help they need. Our mission is to provide education and consultations that are family-centered and to ensure continued family involvement in mental health care through advocacy and provider network development.We focus on athletes and their families, because athletes face a unique set of challenges when trying to balance the demands of their sport with every day life.Key accomplishments - We have helped almost 400 families with consultations, education and referrals within Michigan and across the country- Working with our local mental health hospital, we have been able to refer several clients for immediate admission (a process that typically takes weeks)- We have provided educational seminars to schools, churches and clubs to help them understand what mental health is, and how to help a loved one who may be struggling.
