ABOUT STEVE MAHER

In the over 30 years since Steve Maher received his law degree from the University of Southern California, he has handled thousands of cases involving personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, product liability, dangerous drugs and medical devices, automobile negligence, patent infringement, class actions and antitrust. Though based in Florida, Steve maintains a national practice and handles and tries cases across the nation. Steve has been named in each edition of The Best Lawyers In America since 2015. He was named to the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” each year from 2007 to the present by The National Trial Lawyers Association; and is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell – its highest rating. He has been named by Law & Politics as in the top 5% of lawyers in the State of Florida, and featured in Florida Super Lawyer Magazine from 2007 to present. He is also rated as “Superb” (10.0 out of 10.0) by AVVO.com legal ratings. Steve’s trial experience includes many multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), and has been certified as a life member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers and was named as a lead counsel in one of the “Top 100 Verdicts of 2006″ by VerdictSearch (a $25 million jury verdict); and was also lead trial lawyer in what is one of the largest medical malpractice jury verdicts in the State of Florida for the wrongful death of a child ($10 million). In March of 2010, he received a $6 million verdict from a Philadelphia jury in an elder abuse and neglect case against a hospital and nursing home which resulted in the formation of a large infected bedsore. It is believed that this is the largest verdict against a nursing home in Pennsylvania. Steve has also been appointed to leadership positions in various Federal Multidistrict Litigations (MDLs) across the country.
