Using Excel VBA, as well as SQL Server, developed numerous audit processing tools, which enabled Program Assurance to dramatically improve the efficiency and accuracy of its audit of the Business Operation Assurance (BOA) incentive program distributions. Performed the annual audit of these BOA incentive program distributions, including calculating and validating the performance and financial data for all BCBSA FEP Plans. Some of my major development accomplishments have included:(1) implementing the BULK INSERT SQL statement to upload 1M+ records of data to SQL Server the fastest way possible. Using this new process, with the appropriate permissions and Server-local file storage area, I was able to reduce a VBA ADO data upload process for 1.6M records from 55 minutes of hundreds of INSERT INTO queries to just three BULK INSERT queries taking a total of 52 seconds;(2) using our new Citrix VDI environment, designing a new process for reading very large text files (5M+ records) from our network in under a minute for a process that previously took up to 20-30 minutes;(3) developing a collection of complex SQL Server stored procedures, called from Excel VBA ADO, to perform multiple SQL Server database ETL and Excel reporting processes; and (4) developing a much faster process (by 95%) for migrating large data sets from one server to another server using a Linked Server configuration.
