   Provide ownership of the global reverse logistics functions by developing an organizational competency that includes physical, transactional, and financial elements that facilitate the movement of material from the field back into warehouses, factories, and suppliers.•Lead the standardization of the reverse logistics functionality to ensure a common capability and approach exists in all areas of the Varian network.•Develop and manage leading KPI’s and controls that monitor reverse logistics operational “health” that ensure the success of lagging performance priorities.•Collaborate with the broader Supply Chain Operations (SCO) and Field Operations teams to drive systemic and operational improvements that will ensure the reverse logistics capabilities continue to meet the needs of the business.•Engage with the Spare Parts/Aftermarket teams to deploy outbound processes and techniques that trigger successful return activities.•Partner with Planning, Engineering, and other functions to ensure appropriate visibility to returned goods exists to facilitate any necessary resource and material planning.•Participate in the assurance that Varian maximizes its material investment through return disposition programs such as Refurbishment, Warranty, and Scrap.•Plan and manage successful project execution, implementation, and controls.•Use effective Quality Program tools to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business.•Conceptualize solutions that address internal/external customer opportunities and operational issues.•Understanding of the latest architecture, technology solutions, and industry trends.•Analyze work force utilization, network layout and operational data, such as, order volume and warehouse costs, process flow charts and shipment lead times to ensure efficient utilization of resources.•Participate in the Global Logistics Strategic Planning process to ensure we deliver on promises to customers and patients.
