Accountable for building and operating the GTR Portfolio Management function spanning all business areas and incorporating over £250m of change initiatives spread across 180+ concurrent inflight projects and programmes. My role has two facets - building the Portfolio Management capability and day to day operational management of the Portfolio.1) Building the Portfolio Management capability - Creating a Portfolio Management strategy aligned to GTRs business vision- Establishing a Portfolio Roadmap to bring the Portfolio function to life focusing on business priorities- Creating (and embedding into ways of working) a pragmatic set of Portfolio Management governance structures, methods and processes, enabled by supporting technology toolkits spanning end to end delivery- Delivery Assurance - supporting and coaching Project and Programme managers deliver the outcomes expected from the programmes and projects executed- Building Portfolio insights - based on agreed metrics & success criteria - Project and Programme Management recruitment support2) Portfolio Management day to day operations- Accountable for day to day running of the Portfolio Management function including ensuring all new \"change\" is funnelled, reviewed and sanctioned appropriately, Delivery assurance services and, content based health checks are leveraged where necessary- Periodic insights on investment and project performance / health are produced across all business functions - An aggregated Portfolio Insight briefing is produced enabling CxO / Board level data based discussions and decisions to be made.
