   Manage the operations and maintenance of 48 City\'s parks, 86 miles of trails, 3700 acres of open space and facilities including Lake Padden Golf Course, Bayview Cemetery, and street trees within City rights-of-way. Responsible for Parks Operations Division management, planning, budget development tracking, staffing and work standards. Provide managerial and technical direction to division staff within the park maintenance functional areas: Tree and turf care; trail maintenance; recreational facility and building maintenance and oversight of the management agreement for the Lake Padden Golf Course, enterprise fund for Bayview Cemetery, and license agreement with the Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition for the management of 65 miles of multi-use trails on over 2300 acres on Galbraith Mountain. Act as project manager for selected construction projects, or on-going or special maintenance services.Report to the Director of Parks and Recreation. Supervise division program managers, field supervisors, and administrative support staff. Work independently to support the mission and goals of the Department within applicable Federal, State and City laws, ordinances, regulations, policies, and collective bargaining agreements. Serves as a member of the Department Leadership Team.
