About Steve Jackson
I have practiced professionally in Baton Rouge since 1978 and since 1993 with Cockfield Jackson Architects. I am a 1978 graduate of Louisiana State University’s Architecture School, and have earned my accreditation as a LEED accredited professional. I have a passion for library design and have completed 13 different projects during my career. One of my most notable projects was the renovation of the LSU Tiger Stadium Locker Room for the Fightin’ Tigers football team. I had the opportunity to work directly with the athletic department and coaches to create a dazzling and inspirational new environment for the team.I am happily married to Chris Marks Jackson for 36 years and have 2 successful adult sons, 2 beautiful daughter-in-laws and 4 beautiful grandchildren. I have played the trumpet for 62 years, was a member of the LSU Golden Band from Tigerland, and perform regularly with a community jazz band, as well as with The Vintage Band from Tigerland. I am an avid tennis player and love to fish in in my spare time.
