My lifelong passion for cycling was ignited when I awoke early one Christmas morning to discover the black and yellow reconditioned bike my dad had built for me sitting in our living room, complete with stabilisers. I rode it up and down our street constantly, racing friends or just on my own for the sheer joy of it, cornering hard to avoid the walls, the kerbs, and all other obstacles in my path with the confidence from two extra wheels to stop me toppling over! Since that moment, I have been in love with the freedom, adventures and friendships I have experienced through riding bikes all over the world. I have restored, built and ridden countless bikes, and now, after covering many, many thousands of miles on roads, trails and tracks, my passion has taken me in another direction professionally; into that of a full-time cycle trainer and coach. And in 2014 I was delighted to be elected to the Executive Committee of the Association of British Cycling Coaches. And where better to follow my passion than from the edge of the Peak District National Park, in Sheffield the UK\'s Outdoor City. Really, does it get much better? Does it!
