ABOUT STEVE HARMON

Leadership, training, development - these three words summarize my career and my strengths. Over the past twenty-five years I have developed and strengthened my skills and services in each specific performance area through a series of ever challenging and interesting positions and projects. Leadership: Through a series of progressively challenging positions and opportunities I have gained a measure of wisdom and experience to adapt to the unscripted and rewarding work of leading and building cohesive and productive team. The teams and projects continue to increase in size and scope but the outcomes are still the same - accomplish the goals and objectives the most effective way possible while taking care of our team today and in the future. Training: Since 1990 I have been fortunate to develop skills and techniques to develop and provide effective training to my clients, my Soldiers, and fellow colleagues. My training experience covers traditional as well as the fast growing world of e-learning. Since 2009, I have focused my personal self-development and training on providing effective Instructional design and e-learning programs. The past two years I have been fortunate to work with clients requiring online learning in multiple languages and in multiple formats. Prior to my full immersion into the world of e-learning, I spent twenty-five years (and counting) providing training and education to Adults of all types through the military and as a developer of customized training for the workforce and industry. Development: Finally, but equally important is development. As a friend-raiser, fundraiser, and development officer, I learned critical skills in matching client needs with organizational goals. Developing friendships that result in support to my institutions of time, talent, and financial means is a very rewarding experience and I continue to use these skills on a regular basis in all aspects of my life and career.
