About Steve Gerber

I am a pastor at heart with a business mind - this makes me a perfect fit for the NFP world and development work. I fit best in a team environment with high interaction and building relationships. I am a true \"jack of all trades and master of none.\" I enjoy something that is cause driven that is far greater than myself. Mission oriented is my focus and passion. I am a capable public speaker but also work well one-to-one. My most comfortable professional position is one that involves doing something that supports a mission that is meaningful and life changing for those who benefit from that mission. BACKGROUND: A graduate of Grace Theological Seminary, Steve received his Master of Divinity degree in 1997. He joined the Advancement team in March 2016. Before coming to Grace, Steve pastored churches in Roann, Indiana, Wabash, Indiana, and Trafalgar, Indiana and most recently in Bloomington, Indiana. Steve recently served as the Executive Director of a small not-for-profit that provides transportation services in Martinsville, Indiana. Steve was employed in development with the Shepherd Foundation in Union Grove, Wisconsin, doing development work from 2004 to 2010. He has a rich background in social services, management and not-for-profit leadership. During his time with Shepherds, Steve earned his M.B.A. in July of 2008 from the University of Phoenix. In March, 2022, Steve started as the Chief Development Officer at the CICOA Foundation in Indianapolis, Indiana. Steve is responsible for all things fundraising at CICOA! Steve and and wife Vicki live in Zionsville, Indiana.
