ABOUT STEVE FRAZER

I am a Chartered Landscape Architect with experience of private practice and the public sector. I have worked on a range of projects as a landscape designer and landscape planner; across multiple sectors, of varying scales, and through all work stages.Recent project contributions:• Stakeholder consultation/collaboration.• Landscape Design (Spatial Masterplanning/Vision Documents through to Detailed Design).• LVIAs (residential, solar, wind, landfill, gas extraction, quarrying, medical, logistics and leisure).• Hearing Representation and Expert Witness.• Tendering and Contract Administration.Selected projects/types:• Spatial Masterplanning/Vision Documents for various historical estates, including for the National Trust. Typically, new development providing the catalyst/opportunity to rationalise and enhance the function and character of the landscape. Supported Derbyshire Wildlife Trust in developing proposals for Allestree Park, the largest urban rewilding project in UK. Projects intensely collaborative and included ‘design in residence’. • Hunters Bar, Sheffield: In support of school and University of Sheffield, designed and delivered a ‘green wall’ (alongside many local businesses), to explore the capacity of vegetation to ameliorate air pollution in an urban setting. GoGoGreen - Hunters Bar Infant School • Lacey Road, Bristol: Working alongside Kerstin Bergendal, an internationally renowned socially engaged artist, exhaustively consulted and designed with various communities, to develop a landscape in support of a new residential care home for people living with dementia. 2016-18 A NOW-TIME ZONE – kerstinbergendal• Wirksworth Meadows: Interspersed with community consultation; designed, tendered and contract managed the rejuvenation of a park, intended to profoundly improve its ecological and recreational contribution. Wirksworth Town Council - Derbyshire - Welcome • Urban regeneration, including revitalised green space and residential improvements; informed through public consultation and contract administered through JCLI.• Various scale residential urban extensions; supported from feasibility, through masterplanning, D & AS, LVIA and detailed design. • Bramford Community Garden (established first community garden on public land in Wandsworth).• Consultant tutor for University of Sheffield Department of Landscape (Ecological Regeneration and Planting)
