Raised in a large farm family from parents born in the Great Depression and having a father who served in WW II in the Pacific Theatre as a son of an immigrant father from Belgium, has given me a unique perspective of the long arc of American agriculture over many generations.Starting my farm lending career in 1987 at the bottom of the 80’s farm crisis with FmHA and then serving in Ag. Banking up through today’s highly productive, capital intensive, technology driven agricultural landscape has shown how much production agriculture has changed as well as how much it remains the same. My greatest strength has been my passion to add meaningful value to farm families in production agriculture, evaluating their talent and ability and then deliver credit in a sustainable manner. Having the work ethic to go the extra steps required to assist beginning farmers as well as farmers not fully established with their business has been a valued strength and rewarding experience. My expertise lies in combining integrated financial analysis and knowledge of markets with macroeconomic principles into sound business advice for individualized needs. Have 30 years of agricultural lending experience and a history of originating and carrying a +$100 MM agricultural loan portfolio. Have built strong bonds with clients while maintaining that volume with high credit quality and performance while being part of lending teams that have been among the nation’s leaders in originating FSA Guaranteed farm loans.
