Steve began his career on the Landlord side of the business for Starmount Company in Greensboro, NC where he advanced to become the Sr. Vice President & Director of Leasing responsible for leasing 25 company owned properties (regional, specialty and neighborhood shopping centers). His greatest achievement at Starmount was the redevelopment and re-tenanting of Friendly Center, a 1.2 M square foot open-air center located in Greensboro which became one of the most successful Lifestyle Centers in North Carolina.After leaving Starmount, he had his own retail brokerage firm representing Landlords and Tenants throughout North Carolina. Looking for a greater challenge, Steve joined Staubach Retail providing site selection and lease deals for retailers with their expansion throughout the Southeast. After that tenure, he became the Vice President of Leasing for Gemini Real Estate Advisors out of Charlotte, NC where he leased a retail portfolio of 4 M square feet across 11 states. He also later became Director of Real Estate – Southeast for Shoe Show.Steve joined Bell Commercial, Raleigh, NC in June 2020 to head up the Landlord representation program where he represented third party shopping center owners throughout the Carolinas. Recently moving to Tampa, Florida and joining The Shopping Center Group has enabled him to utilize the above experience and 30+ years of industry contacts being successful doing Retail Tenant Representation and Landlord Representation throughout the Southeast. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Past President of the North Carolina Chapter.Education: West Virginia University - B.S. in Business Administration and M.S. in Industrial Relations
