Lead architectural design and guide a R&D team of 20+ members for building and maintaining a cryptocurrency exchange- Rich experience in cloud-native architecture. Designed and built a fully cloud-native, Kubernetes-based cryptocurrency exchange using GCP. Use of Helm 3, chartmuseum, CI/CD pipelines that involve GKE, GCR, object storage, Nginx Ingress, Cloud Armor firewall, VPC networks, VPC peering, StackDriver, Prometheus, CloudSQL (MySQL), messaging, Redis store- Heavy user of API gateways together with microservices. Ongoing practice of API gateways using Istio 1.5+. Authentication/Authorization at API gateway level along with JWT. Service mesh practice with Istio enabled by sidecars- Deep understanding of Kubernetes autoscaling. Attempting to solve resource allocation issues together with Kubernetes HPA/VPA-] Designed Kubernetes clusters that leverage both regular and preemptible VMs leading to substantial cloud service cost savings- VPC Networking configuration for firewall rules- Big data analytics using HDFS and Spark to discover business insights- Core functions of an exchange, including matching engine on multiple types of orders, orders policy engine framework, futures, perpetual contracts, high frequency trading API, highly available system, growing traffic, database sharding and archiving.
